It's been a great summer at the Club, with wonderful meals served to us by Rata's award-inning Kitchen. Though their stay with us has now drawn to a close, there is much more in store for those in the know at the best dining location in Russell!
On 10th May, our new Chef Judson Toledo and his wife Veroni Mello will be launching 'The Boat Club Bistro.' We hope you'll come along, check out the new menu and welcome them on board. Bring a friend. Bring three! :) And of course Maddy will be on hand at the bar to serve you your drinks.
Judson grew up in Brazil in the kitchen with his mother and grandmother cooking and has had a passion for food ever since. He has over 20 years experience as a chef, including 13 years in NZ working for great restaurants such as Solera Vino, Flame and La Rotisserie in Queenstown, and most recently Tipsy Oyster in Paihia.
Veroni has lived in NZ for 15 years. She has extensive experience in the hospitality industry and has worked helping Judson in two restaurants. They met here in NZ and have been married for 11 years. In January 2022, they were on holiday in the North Island and fell in love with Russell and Paihia. In just one week they decided to move and have lived here ever since!
They'll be open Wednesday-Sunday with dinner from 5:00pm.
